Coach Education
Like the rest of the country Cumbria has a shortage of qualified athletics coaches. For the sport to develop further two things are needed: firstly, for parents, ex-athletes etc to come forward and enter the qualification process and secondly, for current coaches to gain more knowledge and upgrade to a higher level.
Coaching athletics is not rocket science; the basic physical and physiological laws that govern technique are simple. There is no mystique to grasp. Below are the courses, starting with Level 1, which will take you through the process. Think about it seriously. The sport needs you.
